On Tuesday, Ukraine President Volodymyr Zelenskyy met with Republican presidential candidate and former New Jersey Governor Chris Christie (R-NJ) in a genuinely pathetic moment, as Christie's presidential campaign continues to generate no real momentum.
"I had a meeting with a member of the Republican Party, former Governor of New Jersey, Christopher Christie. And it is very important that Mr. Christie began his visit to Ukraine with a visit to Bucha to see with his own eyes the threat to freedom and to everyone in the world posed by Russian aggression," Zelenskyy tweeted. "I thanked all Americans, each and every one, for their vital support."
Zelensky concluded by saying, "we are confident that we will end this Russian war against freedom with our victory – the victory of the free world, the victory of democracy, the victory of freedom."

In response to the meeting, Christie tweeted, "It was an honor to meet with President [Zelenskyy] in Ukraine and see firsthand the heroism Ukrainians have displayed in their fight against Russia. America has never moved forward by ignoring the rest of the world. We can’t start now."

Christie has parted ways with Republican frontrunners with his hardened support of the Ukrainians in the over-year-long conflict, a conflict that has led many Republicans to question what the end goal actually is.
"Breaking news… Donald Trump has released his Top-Secret plan for ending the war in Ukraine in 24 hours. The Plan: He knows Putin and Zelensky 'very well' and will make a couple calls. Move over Churchill, Trump is here to save the day," Christie tweeted in a truly disgusting moment. "Trump has no plan. Just endless BS. In fact, he said he would escalate our involvement ($$$) if Putin doesn’t back down. You either think stopping Russia from invading other countries is in America’s self-interest or you don’t."

Christie should be ashamed of these comments. After all, Trump's foreign policy acumen is unmatched. Unlike many of the RINO Warhawks in the Republican Party, Trump put America and her interests first. American strength is good for everyone, no matter their nationality, but most importantly of all, it is good for America.
No matter what you think of the war in Ukraine, there must be an end goal. Currently, the Biden White House (and many of those running for President in the Republican Party) seem incapable of describing what Ukranian peace looks like -- and that should scare everyone. We deserve politicians who can actually lead and sell a vision to the American people -- and Trump did and does just that.
