WATCH: Trump Goes After Podcaster Joe Rogan After Comments Praising RFK Jr.

In a recent episode of his podcast, Joe Rogan, the host of one of the most listened to podcasts in the world, praised independent candidate Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. explaining that he was the only candidate that "made sense" to him. In response to the comment, Republican nominee Donald Trump went after Rogan, explaining that he may be booed the next time he enters the UFC ring.

"That's politics. They do it on the left. They do it on the right. They gaslight you. They manipulate you. They promote narratives. The only one that's not doing that is Robert F. Kennedy Jr.," Rogan said, noting that he's a fan of RFK, Jr. "He's the only one who makes sense to me. He doesn't attack people. He attacks actions and ideas, but he's much more reasonable and intelligent." Rogan argued that Kennedy is a "legitimate guy" who has been maligned as an anti-vaccine conspiracy theorist, something that the Spotify podcaster also believed until he read RFK, Jr.'s book, The Real Anthony Fauci.

After facing backlash for his comments from conservative accounts on social media, Rogan clarified that he wasn't endorsing Kennedy, Jr. for president but was just stating his feelings towards him as a person. "For the record, this isn't an endorsement," Rogan wrote on X. "This is me saying that I like RFKjr as a person, and I really appreciate the way he discusses things with civility and intelligence. I think we could use more of that in this world. I also think Trump raising his fist and saying 'fight!' after getting shot is one of the most American fucking things of all time."

That didn't stop President Trump from criticizing the podcaster about an hour and a half after Rogan's statement. "It will be interesting to see how loudly Joe Rogan gets BOOED the next time he enters the UFC Ring??? MAGA2024," Trump wrote on Truth Social. While Trump slammed Rogan for his comments, RFK, Jr. thanked Rogan for his kind words.

"From one 'legitimate' guy to another, thank you [Joe Rogan] for always putting substance first," Kennedy wrote on X. "This election is not about left vs. right. It's about Americans of goodwill coming together to end the tyranny of corruption in our system – so that we once again have a government and economy that works for all people. Let's do this."

Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. has fallen in prominence recently, particularly after President Joe Biden exited the race. He only holds about five percent support in the FiveThirtyEight national presidential polling average. However, he has gotten onto the ballot in multiple states nationwide, including swing states. With Harris' entry into the race, Kennedy is seen by many as more of a threat to Trump, despite the opposite being true when Biden was in the race, which could explain the attack on Rogan for praising the independent candidate.
