On Wednesday evening, 45th President Donald Trump sat down with CNN's Kaitlin Collins for a town hall in New Hampshire. During the town hall, Trump tackled January 6th, the 2020 election, and a host of other topics.
One particular moment has gone especially viral with Trump pulling out a piece of paper to read aloud his tweets that were sent on January 6th.
Moderator Kaitlin Collins asked Trump, "Why did it take you three hours for you to tell them to go home?" to which Trump responded "I don't think it did" and preceded to bring the receipts.
Trump, with thunderous applause as he did so, pulled out the paper from his jacket pocket and explained that he sent his first tweet at 2:30 p.m. "as it [the Capitol Riot] was happening."
The 45th president also explained that he will be sticking with Truth Social rather than returning to Twitter. He also explained that Twitter initially took down the tweet at the time but that media outlets like CNN did not report on that aspect of the story.
"It was taken down and it wasn't put back up," Trump said.
