WATCH: Team Trump Releases Powerful New Ad Ahead Of Presidential Debate - 'Thanks A Lot, Kamala'

Before the presidential debate on Tuesday evening, the Trump campaign released a powerful new ad slamming Vice President Kamala Harris for her administration's record on the economy. The ad pointed out that food prices, gasoline prices, and mortgages have all skyrocketed under her watch. The economy, one of the most important issues in the 2024 race, will be a defining topic in the Trump-Harris debate, and whichever candidate can articulate a convincing message will likely win the White House.

"Kamala Harris cast the tie-breaking vote that created America's inflation," the ad narrator said about the Inflation Reduction Act. "Economists said Harris' vote led directly to the higher prices we pay. 22 percent more for groceries. 50 percent more for gas. Mortgage costs nearly double. Thanks a lot, Kamala. Trump had our economy humming. He'll do it again."

According to a recent New York Times/Siena poll, the American people trust Trump will better handle the economy and immigration by a wide margin. The poll found that Trump enjoys a large 13-point advantage over Harris on the economy and a 10-point advantage on immigration. At the same time, Harris has a 15-point advantage on the issue of abortion and a five-point lead on "democracy."

A recent CBS News report noted that 8 in 10 adults think the economy is a major factor in determining who they will vote for in November. Recent polls on the question of inflation found that 4 in 10 voters believe prices would go down under a second Trump term, while only 2 in 10 voters believed the same about a Harris-Walz administration.

Given these findings, it is no wonder that Trump has a far higher chance of winning 270 electoral votes in November. According to polling expert Nate Silver's election model, Trump maintains a 64.4 percent chance of winning the presidency compared to Harris' 35.3 percent chance. When broken down by the probability to win each swing state, Trump has a 65 percent chance to carry Pennsylvania, 55 percent in Michigan, 53 percent in Wisconsin, 77 percent in Arizona, 76 percent in North Carolina, 69 percent in Georgia, and 61 percent in Nevada.

The economy will be a central focus of the presidential debate, and each candidate will have a chance to share their vision to revitalize the American economy, get inflation under control, and ensure prosperity for all Americans. The Trump campaign ad lays out why Americans should be wary of another Democrat administration, given the Biden-Harris record.
