On Saturday, leading 2024 Republican candidate and 45th President Donald Trump took to Columbia, South Carolina at the biggest South Carolina GOP fundraising event of the year.
The event, held at The Silver Elephant Gala at the S.C. State Fairgrounds, is expected to have between 1,300 and 1,400 people in attendance and will include South Carolina GOP Chairman Drew McKissick, Gov. Henry McMaster, and Senator Lindsay Graham.

Upon landing at the airport on 'Trump Force One,' Trump was welcomed by hundreds of supporters adorned with MAGA hats where the 45th president took time to take selfies and give out autographs.

Trump began his speech at the gala by thanking the various individuals who were responsible for organizing the event as well as thanking those who recently endorsed him from the Palmetto State. South Carolina Speaker of the House Rep. Murrell Smith endorsed President Trump on Saturday morning.
The leading Republican candidate then turned his speech to the economy where he lamented the failing of Bidenomics explaining that the current administration is "running on fumes" that were generated from Trump's years in office. Trump railed against the increase in gas prices and mortage rates under the Biden economy and made the contrast with his stunning economic record where inflation was down, gas prices was down, and interest rates were low.
