WATCH: Will You Comply? New York Gov. Kathy Hochul Demands Residents Get New Vaccine - 'Don’t Rely On The Fact That You Had A Vaccine In The Past, It Will Not Help You'

On Wednesday, New York Governor Kathy Hochul (D-NY) made an announcement to the residents of her state that the preexisting COVID-19 vaccine will not help New Yorkers in the future just days after the FDA officially approved a new COVID-19 vaccine.

"Tell everybody don’t rely on the fact that you had a vaccine in the past, it will not help you this time around," Hochul said bluntly to her constituents.

"New Yorkers will be able to get the updated COVID-19 vaccine by the end of this week," the New York governor said. "As we head into a season where respiratory viruses typically spread, this vaccine is the best way to protect yourself and your community from new strains of the virus."

The Empire State governor said, "This is a new vaccine built specifically to match these circulating strains. It doesn't matter if you've already been vaccinated. Take no comfort in that. Thank you for getting vaccinated in the past but that is not protecting you today."

"Here's the simple message New Yorkers: get the vaccine," the governor continued. "That is the best way by far to protect yourself and those around you. We are smart and resilient and we protect each other. We've done this since March 2020 and there's no reason to stop now."

The announcement by Hochul comes just a day after the FDA approved an updated COVID-19 vaccine for Americans six months and older.

"Today, [CDC] and [FDA] authorized, approved, and recommended Americans 6 months and up get an updated COVID-19 vaccine," President Biden announced via X. "Schedule your updated COVID-19 vaccine, flu shot, and RSV shot to stay healthy and protect those around you this fall and winter."

As Biden and the Democrats attempt to push the COVID-19 vaccine once again on millions of Americans, those who paid attention during the pandemic remember the thousands of people who were fired from their jobs for not taking the initial vaccine. And yet now, that original vaccine is useless and Democrat-run governments are insisting that its citizens get the latest shot.

It is only a matter of time before some of the policies that defined the pandemic return. Mask mandates have already made a comeback in some businesses in California and have sprung up at universities across the country. Hopefully, America does not fall down the path of vaccine enforcement once again but only time will tell. All Americans should stand up against such tyranny and not comply.
