WATCH: Joe Biden Relentlessly Mocked After Humiliating, Disrespectful Moment At Maui Event

On Monday, President Joe Biden, who was visiting the Hawaiian island of Maui to visit with the families of Lahaina, was seen falling asleep during a community engagement at the Lahaina Civic Center.

In the now-viral video, President Biden can be seen briefly falling asleep during the event while surrounded by various members of the community.

In response to Biden's lack of attention, many online criticized the president for failing to show the necessary amount of respect for the grieving families.

"Remember that time Joe Biden looked at his watch when the caskets of 13 dead soldiers were being returned from his chaotic Afghanistan pullout?" DC Draino, also known as Rogan O'Handley, wrote. "Well, now he just fell asleep during a ceremony in Hawaii honoring the hundreds of Americans killed by the fires."

"Biden appears to briefly fall asleep during a ceremony in Maui honoring the hundreds of people who died," Collin Rugg wrote. "Here is how Biden’s trip to Maui went: - Upon arriving, Biden joked about how hot the ground was. - Biden later brought up his son Beau Biden. - He also told a debunked story about how he almost lost his Corvette in a house fire… the story was ‘embellished’ according to the fire department."

"Octogenarian Joe Biden seems to be falling asleep while "meeting with survivors" of the Maui fires," wrote TPUSA CEO, Charlie Kirk. "National embarrassment!"

As previously reported by the DC Enquirer, Biden was met with angry Hawaiians who, upon his landing in Maui, held up signs reading "You're too late" and "Actions speak louder than words" with many of them arguing that the president should have shown up to the devastated community sooner.

Biden partook in a helicopter tour of the island to survey the damage before venturing to Lahaina to give remarks.

"While Biden flies around in circles above Maui, residents are TRAPPED on closed roads for the next several hours," journalist Nick Sortor reported. "Biden will then be meeting with pre-selected “residents” and will NOT be taking media questions. Go figure. Police are telling me that residents are SUPER frustrated and many are missing work because of the road closures."

Prior to his remarks, Biden was able to meet with various first responders where he was seen joking about the "hot" temperatures of the ground.

Biden eventually made it to the podium where he began his speech recounting the death of his wife and child in 1972 from a car crash. He also joked during the speech when he said that the Maui County mayor looked like a defensive tackle. "You look like you played defensive tackle for, I don't know who, but somebody good," Biden said before thanking him for his leadership and having a minor gaffe by saying "national travedy."

President Biden's trip to Maui is not going well. He is failing to live up to the moment as more than 114 people have been confirmed dead with hundreds more missing after the devastating wildfires. For his own personal sake, perhaps he should go back to lounging at Lake Tahoe.
