WATCH: Joe Biden Nearly Falls Down Air Force One Stairs Despite Staff's Best Efforts

On Tuesday, President Joe Biden was disembarking Air Force One when he nearly tripped and fell on the tarmac in a moment that has since gone viral online, particularly given the fact that Axios published a piece Tuesday morning highlighting the various steps White House staff have taken to ensure he doesn't fall.

In the video, Biden can be seen walking down the small stairs on Air Force One when his foot catches halfway down in what could have been a repeat of the previous times he fell while boarding the aircraft in the past.

As previously reported by Axios, Biden's White House staff have done everything in their power to ensure that the president doesn't fall or trip while in public. The 80-year-old Democrats' has been regularly seeing a physical thereapist to improve his balance for well over a year and has opted to use the short stairs on Air Force One instead of making the perilous climb up the main staircase.

Biden has also been wearing tennis shoes more often to avoid slipping like he did at the Air Force Academy graduation in June. Biden's physician has diagnosed Biden with "a combination of significant spinal arthritis" and "mild post-fracture foot arthritis" which have likely contributed to his recent falls.

"This isn't new — it was proactively and transparently disclosed in a 2021 report from the president's doctor and again this year." White House spokesperson Andrew Bates told the outlet. "This article fits an unfortunate pattern of media attempting to sensationalize something that has long been public, rather than covering the president's very real achievements for hardworking Americans."

As the 2024 presidential election heats up, Biden's physical and mental readiness for the job will come to the forefront making a potential fall next year a campaign disaster for Democrats. Luckily for Biden's team, he avoided a fall today but given the president's advanced age, the likelihood of a slip will continue to remain at the forefront of White House staffers for the months to come.

This is a developing story and will be updated accordingly.
