On Wednesday, Hollywood icon and devout Christian Jim Caviezel discussed his recent film 'Sound of Freedom' during an appearance on Fox News's 'The Ingraham Angle.' During this appearance, Caviezel made sure to distance his new film from the woke output Americans are seeing from Disney and other companies, contrary to our Christian values.
"It was like with King David, when he was kicked out of his house, and so, it is very emotional, seeing those people right there," Caviezel said when discussing audiences' positive reactions to the film. Caziezel then discussed the overperformance of 'Sound of Freedom' in the theatres -- even beating out Disney's new Indiana Jones film. "Well, this is not about them [Disney]. It is not about Angel Studios putting it out. It is about the children. And Americans waking up, right now. The only way these laws are going to be changed is that, if the people move, right now to save them," Jim Caviezel added.
The DC Enquirer previously reported that the film is the number one film in the nation, principally on the back of a social media campaign highlighted by the likes of Hollywood icon Mel Gibson.
"Gibson asked social media for $5 million in presale tickets, a number that moviegoers were more than able to double for the premiere. The movie earned more than $14 million on its opening day, according to Box Office Mojo. Such a meteoric success is even better news when the message of the movie is taken into account," the DC Enquirer reports.
"This is a good versus evil story. This is a battled hero story. I was very blessed that I go the opportunity, just as I was blessed to do 'The Passion of the Christ." Caviezel also said it was the best film he had done since The Passion.
For context, as the DC Enquirer previously reported of the film, "The movie is about the real-life child sex trafficking ring that exists throughout Latin America and the United States, something that is often missing from the conversation. The movie itself is based on the true story of Tim Ballard, a former CIA agent who becomes frustrated only capturing people who watched child pornography and not catching those responsible for making the evil product. The movie follows the story quite closely according to History v Hollywood but does make some minor edits to allow it to better fit the golden screen."
Caviezel concluded by saying, "We are not Disney’s film. We are the people’s film. Can we love our children? Can we love God's children more than we fear evil? Americans are up to it. And they hear the sound of freedom, because God's children are no longer for sale."
