This Sunday, Democrat Congressman Ro Khanna (D-CA) told Fox News‘s ‘Fox News Sunday’ that he thinks radical Democrat Senator Dianne Feinstein (D-CA) ought to resign.
“I have a lot of respect for Senator Feinstein, but she has missed 75 percent of votes this year. She has not been showing up, and she has no intention — we do not know if she is even going to show up. She has no return date,” Khanna remarked
“This has to do with someone who is just not showing up, and I said out loud what people have been saying in private, and this is how the Beltway works. They don’t like it when you call out someone who is in power, and that is why people are unlikely to do it. But we’ve had so many calls from the American people and they say ‘Yeah, that is right. If you’re gonna sign up to do these jobs, show up,” Khanna added.
For context, as the DC Enquirer previously reported, “Senator Dianne Feinstein (D-CA), still recovering from shingles and other medical complications, is unable to fulfill her role in the Senate Judiciary Committee thereby preventing this committee from forwarding Biden’s court nominees for confirmation.”
As a result, Khanna suggested Feinstein should resign last Wednesday.
“It’s time for @SenFeinstein to resign. We need to put the country ahead of personal loyalty. While she has had a lifetime of public service, it is obvious she can no longer fulfill her duties. Not speaking out undermines our credibility as elected representatives of the people,” Congressman Khanna tweeted.

When some speculated sexism was why many were calling for Feinstein to resign, Khanna disagreed, claiming it was just plain ‘common sense.’
“Or is it common sense? There is no job I know of where you can just continue to not show up and people think that’s perfectly fine. We live in a democracy. The people are the boss,” Khanna tweeted.

This led fellow Congressman Dean Phillips (D-MN) to tweet in support of Khanna, saying, “I agree with @RoKhanna. Senator Feinstein is a remarkable American whose contributions to our country are immeasurable. But I believe it’s now a dereliction of duty to remain in the Senate and a dereliction of duty for those who agree to remain quiet.”
