'Try That In A Small Town' Soars To Number One, Blasts Past Taylor Swift, Luke Combs In Milestone For Jason Aldean's Career

Jason Aldean has managed to get to even higher heights with his latest song ‘Try That in a Small Town,’ managing to surpass his previous record spot of number two on the Billboard 100 and managing to pull out the coveted first place position.

The song previously managed to secure Aldean his highest place on the Billboard 100 of all time, taking the coveted second place and beating his previous record of seventh place, per the DC Enquirer. The song also managed to get to number one on streaming for iTunes with a massive boost in streaming numbers from the steam that it gained from the controversy, per the DC Enquirer.

The song beat out other big names on the chart like Luke Combs and Taylor Swift in a style reminiscing David versus Goliath. The success of the song isn’t just a victory for Aldean but for anyone fed up with the overbearing cancel culture of the left.

As previously reported by the DC Enquirer, the song from the country music singer about how riots and robberies that take place in large cities would not be able to work in small towns garnered immense criticism from the left. Many claimed that the song pushed a racist agenda and also attacked Aldean for choosing to film the music video at a place where a lynching took place in 1917.

“In the past 24 hours I have been accused of releasing a pro-lynching song (a song that has been out since May) and was subject to the comparison that I (direct quote) was not too pleased with the nationwide BLM protests,” the X (formerly Twitter) post from Aldean read. “These references are not only meritless, but dangerous. There is not a single lyric in the song that references race or points to it- and there isn’t a single video clip that isn’t real news footage -and while I can try and respect others to have their own interpretation of a song with music- this one goes too far.”

Aldean was able to take a strong stance against the insanity in this country and while it was a risky gamble for him, it has undoubtedly paid off. The country singer is surely sitting back and enjoying his success while he watches triggered leftists try and fail to admonish him for simply stating what he believes.
