New reports have revealed that attorneys are investigating whether Delaware U.S. Attorney David Weiss reassigned his most experienced prosecutors away from the Hunter Biden case immediately prior to filing relatively minor charges against the son of sitting President Joe Biden.
According to The Daily Mail, in a letter to a federal judge in June announcing the charges brought against Hunter Biden, Weiss listed three prosecutors who had heretofore no connection with the investigation into the president's son. This abrupt change has raised serious concerns about a last-second change.
Both Benny Johnson and the Fox News team at 'Jesse Watters Primetime' quickly took notice. Johnson posted to Twitter, "Delaware District Attorney’s Office may have kicked veteran prosecutors off the Hunter Biden case before filing charges and replaced with employee of former FBI Director and Biden Donor in order to get a sweetheart plea deal."

An attorney representing IRS whistleblower Gary Shapley told the outlet, "None of the three were involved in the underlying investigation during Gary's tenure, to my knowledge."
Weiss and his office have taken significant criticism for the 'sweetheart deal' they've offered to Biden: two counts of willful failure to pay taxes and a felony firearms charge that would find an average American in prison for up to five to ten years.
The deal, as reported by The Washington Post, will find Hunter getting up to two years probation for failing to pay over $100,000 in taxes in 2017 and 2018 on his $1.5 million income and will "agree not to prosecute him" on the gun charge provided he meets certain undetermined conditions in what's known as a "diversion program" for non-violent substance abusers.
Independent journalist 'amuse' posted to Twitter a key point regarding the recent scandal of cocaine being found at the White House, as previously reported by DC Enquirer. If the narcotic should be found to belong to Hunter, "The diversion program requires him to be sober."
The Mail previously reported that one of the prosecutors assigned, Derek Hines, could have a conflict of interest given that he worked as 'Special Counsel' to former FBI Director and Hunter Biden business partner Louis Fresh.
Adding further to the questionable nature of the assignments to such a high-profile prosecution was the addition of Assistant US Attorney Leo Wise to the team. The Mail also noted that Wise had recently been demoted from his prior role as Chief of the Public Corruption and Fraud Unit at the Maryland US Attorney's Office in March, according to a report from the Baltimore Sun.
