Professional Esports Gamer Gets Punished For Saying That Pro-LGBTQ Organizations Should 'Leave Little Children Alone'

A professional Call of Duty player attempted to stand up to the pro-LGBTQ mob with a simple tweet, saying they should “leave little children alone." Activision Blizzard responded to this reasonable request by removing his affiliated merchandise from the digital store within the game.

The gamer, Nickmercs, plays for the esports organization FaZe and has garnered a large fanbase behind him.

The Call of Duty player replied to a tweet discussing the recent brawl between Armenian-American parents and Antifa, which the DC Enquirer previously reported
.
Nickmercs wrote in a now-deleted tweet, “They should leave little children alone. That’s the real issue.”

Call of Duty owner Activision Blizzard thought the real issue was expressing someone's opinion and, as such, they quickly reprimanded the gamer. Call of Duty, features a digital storefront where they sell cosmetic items for users to purchase.

Some cosmetic items will be partnered with large content creators and esports players like Nick and the company removed that front the store.

Initially, Activision Blizzard and Call of Duty made no statement on their actions, leaving gaming community members to speculate about what happened. Things were made clear yesterday when the official Call of Duty Twitter account replied to a tweet from a prominent news account discussing the removal.

“Due to recent events, we have removed the “NICKMERCS Operator” bundle from the Modern Warfare II and Warzone store. We are focused on celebrating PRIDE with our employees and our community,” the tweet from the official account read.

It’s no surprise that Call of Duty is openly pro-grooming as owner Activision Blizzard has been an extremely open ‘ally’ of alphabet soup people. Another of the company’s popular games, Overwatch, recently featured a pride event where users could unlock cosmetics that were tied to different sexualities.

By far the most appalling part of this ordeal comes with the seemingly innocent nature of Nickmerc's tweet. What was said in the tweet should not have any potential to cause controversy, but somehow such a simple idea  – leaving children out of gender politics – was reputed to be ‘dangerous.’
