On Saturday, former NCAA swimmer Riley Gaines blasted radical liberal Katie Porter (D-CA), after the California Congresswoman expressed opposition to Gaines’s efforts to make women’s sports more equal and just.
“Hey @RepKatiePorter I’m not speaking up for myself…I’m done playing sports. I’m not fighting for me. I’m actually supposed to be in dental school this year. But I’ve changed my life plans because I see what’s at stake if someone doesn’t fight for the present and next generation,” Gaines tweeted in response to a clip of Porter on HBO’s ‘Real Time With Bill Maher.’
Gaines continued, tweeting, “Why is it always women fighting against sex-based protections? That will forever be beyond me”

As the DC Enquirer previously reported, Porter went after Gaines on a Friday episode of Bill Maher’s program — and her attack was truly despicable to behold. To make matters worse, this attack was from a sitting United States Congresswoman. The radical left truly has no sense of decency and decorum in the year of our Lord 2023.
“Nobody, including Riley Gaines, who I disagree with strongly…I think it should be up to sporting bodies to make the decisions,” Porter remarked, “I think what she has done is try to turn this, we talked about people using things to get likes and get clicks.”
While Porter made her opposition to Gaines clear, she stated, “And by the way, Riley is speaking up for herself and that’s her prerogative and I respect her free speech.”
This led fellow ‘Real Time’ guest and political pundit Piers Morgan to say, “All I’ve seen her do is stand up for women’s rights to fairness and equality. She actually competed against Lia Thomas and it was obviously unfair. Lia Thomas won one of the races in the NCAA Championships by 50 seconds against a bunch of biological females who simply couldn’t keep up. It cannot be right. It cannot be fair.”
Morgan concluded by saying, “I think she’s speaking up for pretty much every female athlete in the world.”
