Obama Letter Surfaces Revealing That He Fantasized About Making 'Love To Men Daily'

A 40-year-old letter to former President Barack Obama's ex-girlfriend has come out, with the former Commander-in-Chief himself writing that he finds himself “androgynous” and that he “make[s] love to men daily, but in the imagination.”

The letter was addressed to Alex McNear, who dated the politician way back in 1982 when they were both attending Occidental College in Los Angeles. 

“In regard to homosexuality, I must say that I believe this is an attempt to remove oneself from the present, a refusal perhaps to perpetuate the endless farce of earthly life. You see, I make love to men daily, but in the imagination,” wrote 21-year-old Barack Obama. 

“My mind is androgynous to a great extent and I hope to make it more so until I can think in terms of people, not women as opposed to men. But, in returning to the body, I see that I have been made a man, and physically in life, I choose to accept that contingency,” he continued. 

Obama biographer David Garrow was responsible for bringing the letter to the surface, being an extensive researcher into the life of the Democratic president. He compiled all of his research into a book called ‘Rising Star’ that went through the entire life of the 44th president. It was during this research that he came across the letter talking about fantasizing about sexual relations with men.

He revealed in a Tablet Mag article that when he first got the letter from McNear, she did not include the portion of Obama writing about his fantasies, saying simply that it was “about homosexuality.” 

The letters were then brought into the possession of Emory College which did not allow any pictures to be taken of them. Garrow contacted a friend named Harvey Klehr who was able to get into the archives and, though not able to take a picture, did transcribe the letter, which is what was put out now. 

The letter from Obama is not one that many expected to be seen but it's not entirely surprising. A liberal man like himself in his twenties would likely have such ideas swimming around in his head and considering his advocacy for gay marriage while in office, some dots begin to connect. 

Nonetheless, the letter is still shocking to read. Even if it was something that the former president grew out of later in his life, reading the writing about how he frequently fantasized about homosexual intercourse is shocking.
