'Nothing Is Off The Table': NYC Mayor Considers Housing Migrants In ABANDONED PRISONS As They Become Increasingly Desperate

In case you were wondering just how desperate the city of New York has become, Mayor Eric Adams (D) is now considering housing migrants that are overwhelming the city inside abandoned prisons.

In New York City's political spiral to attempt to take care of the migrants, Adams revealed in a call that he is in absolutely desperate need of assistance from the surrounding counties of New York City, as reported by Politico. The city has made it clear that they don’t have the resources to house the 65,000 migrants that are currently occupying the city.

The absolutely desperate mayor didn’t even deny the potential plan from Newburgh Supervisor Gil Piaquadio, who recommended hosting the numerous migrants at the State University of New York at New Paltz, and more shocking, the abandoned Downstate Correctional Facility near Fishkill, Dutchess County.

Piaquadio did note that they would need to work to spiffy the place up before housing migrants within the vacant facility but stated it would otherwise be “a great shelter.”

Mayor Adams took note of what would be an outrageous suggestion in any situation other than New York City’s current predicament. “Nothing is off the table. If anyone has alternative locations, we’re open to listening,” Adams explained. “We’re not taking anything off the table at all. We’re going to look at both of those locations you mentioned.”

Others within the same meeting held objections to this insane idea. New York City Comptroller Brad Lander stated, “Some things should be off the table.” Unfortunately, it appears they don’t have many better ideas.

Previously, Adams spoke of closing down streets to install living shelters on the street, as previously reported by the DC Enquirer. Both the city of New York and the state have declared a state of emergency to attempt to quell the problem the best they can but it seems to not be enough with the increasing number of migrants pouring in.

Adams has blasted the Biden administration for not providing support to the city with the influx of migrants, however, it seems like the entirely wrong thing to be attacking the Biden White House for. Perhaps rather than dealing with the symptoms of unfettered immigration, Mayor Adams should call on Biden to go after the source as tens of thousands enter the country along the US-Mexico border.

New York City has clearly shown that in their quest to accomplish a virtueless goal, they’ll use any means necessary, regardless of the waste and inconvenience to New York City citizens and their wallets.
