New Poll Shows Trump Dominating Harris In Key Swing State, GOP Senate Candidate Surging

On Tuesday, a new poll from Data Orbital revealed that 45th President Donald Trump dominating Vice President Kamala Harris in the key swing state of Arizona. The survey also found that GOP Senate candidate Kari Lake (R-AZ) has surged in the polls against her opponent, Rep. Ruben Gallego (D-AZ).

According to the poll of the Copper State, Trump leads Harris by 7.8 points with 49.7 percent support compared to the vice president's 41.9 percent. An additional 1.0 percent of Arizonians support Green Party candidate Jill Stein, 0.7 percent support Libertarian candidate Chase Oliver, and 3.7 percent are undecided. The findings come amid Trump maintaining a comfortable lead of 1.3 points in the Real Clear Politics polling average. Trump's lead has caused Fox News to move Arizona to "lean Trump" in its election forecast.

The poll, taken from October 26-28 with 550 likely voters, also found that Kari Lake has taken the lead against Ruben Gallego despite months of polling showing the Democratic Senate nominee leading Lake in Arizona. The poll, with a margin of error of 4.26 percent, found Lake slightly ahead with 45.2 percent support compared to Gallegos' 44.5 percent. An additional 1.6 percent support another candidate and 5.8 percent remain undecided.

“With early voting in full swing and a week until election day, former President Donald Trump looks to be in a commanding position to win the state of Arizona," pollster George Khalaf said about the findings. "Republican nominee Kari Lake also looks to have closed the gap with Democratic nominee Congressman Ruben Gallego in the US Senate race. It all comes down to what the final electoral makeup looks like when voting ends at 7:00 PM on November 5th.”

While Lake has struggled to remain competitive with Gallego throughout the race, President Trump's strength in Arizona could get her across the finish line and ensure a Republican majority in the upper chamber. With Republicans set to secure a seat in West Virginia and likely to win Montana, an additional seat would mean the solidification of the Senate majority. Other Republican Senate candidates have also gained traction in recent weeks as Trump surges in the polls with Eric Hovde (R-WI), Mike Rogers (R-MI), and Dave McCormick (R-PA) all gaining on their Democratic opponents.
