Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz (DFL) greenlighted a bill on Thursday that designates the state as a “sanctuary” where children from Minnesota and other states alike can ask for so-called gender-switching surgery, even against the wishes of their own parents.
Included in the new law is a provision allowing for state courts to seize emergency jurisdiction over any abandoned child in Minnesota who cannot receive “gender-affirming health care,” according to Rebel News.

“We want every Minnesotan to grow up feeling safe, valued, protected, celebrated, and free to exist as their authentic versions of themselves,” Walz reportedly said when commenting on the legislation. “Protecting and supporting access to gender affirming health care is essential to being a welcoming and supportive state.”

Leftists who favor so-called ‘LGBTQ rights’ have claimed that GOP-led states around the nation are trying to eradicate the legal existence of people who are confused about their gender or engage in drag-show performances, as reported by ABC News. This is of course patently false; no such legislation exists.
It is no secret that the mainstream media is making every effort to make the barbaric legislation seem normal, if not just. This is quite clear when one takes a gander at titles such as ABC’s, “Minnesota governor protects rights to gender affirming care,” The Hill’s “Minnesota governor signs bills protecting reproductive, gender-affirming care, banning conversion therapy,” or the supposedly “independent group of media professionals” at Associated Press who published a piece donning a similar title.
Minnesota’s new law reportedly defines the so-called gender-affirming care as “medically necessary health care or mental health care that respects the gender identity of the patient, as experienced and defined by the patient.” It also invokes puberty blockers, also known as chemically castrating drugs, and gender-changing surgeries as part of the process “to align the patient’s appearance or physical body with the patient’s gender identity.”
Some have stood against the new bill, including Republican state Rep. Peggy Scott, who argued that HF 146 “allows children, regardless of age, to receive radical medical treatments.”
Considering the bill quite literally allows a doctor to mutilate a child without their parents’ knowledge, Scott’s assessment is arguably pretty fair.
“Freedom is on the march in Minnesota,” Walz proclaimed, seemingly quite proud about his newly signed law. “Decency is on the march in Minnesota. Compassion is on the march in Minnesota.”
Considering that a divorced Texas mom announced last year that she would be moving her son, who CNN describes as a girl, to California so she could pump him full of hormones, one can probably deduce why Walz’s new legislation specifically allows for the dangerous and irreversible care to be doled out for children residing outside of Minnesota.
