America First Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) told followers on Twitter Thursday that she congratulated the 45th President of the United States, Donald J. Trump, following his controversial appearance on a CNN-hosted town hall in New Hampshire Wednesday evening.
The Georgian congresswoman, well-known for her passionate, unwavering, and vocal support for Trump throughout the contentious 2020 presidential election and on into Democrat attempts to prosecute the 2024 GOP front-runner, told followers that the two of them "laughed and laughed."
Greene wrote, "I enjoyed congratulating President Trump on his outstanding town hall and undefeated record against CNN. They had to air him telling the truth about how the 2020 election was rigged and stolen. We laughed and laughed."
Greene, like many conservatives who also posted to social media, appeared to enjoy Trump's performance punctuated by some light verbal sparring with CNN host Kaitlan Collins.
In a post to Truth Social, Greene lauded Trump's performance in comparison to incumbent Democrat President Joe Biden who has stymied media coverage and spurned debates since the 2020 election.
She wrote, "I’m so proud of President @realDonaldTrump tonight, GREAT JOB! He is truly showing everyone why he is the president America needs. He is doing a town hall with CNN, who has attacked him more than anyone. Biden won’t even talk, can’t even talk to the press. But President Trump loves this country and is showing he’s willing to fight for it. MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!!!"
Throughout the CNN broadcast the congresswoman tweeted several highlights, notably when Trump produced several printouts of his tweets preceding and during the January 6th, 2021 Capital Riot that utterly disproved the Democrat narrative Collins dutifully regurgitated.
She shared a video clip of the moment with the caption, "President Trump disproves the CNN lie right on stage. Pulls out the receipts! This man is unstoppable!"
Responding to criticism of CNN and Trump from Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY), Greene later tweeted, "You hate free speech and want to control the press. Your brand is fading, old, unattractive, and stale. And by the way, Trump won the 2020 election. I would object to Biden’s electoral votes every day again and again if I could because they were stolen."
