On Monday, it was announced that Tucker Carlson will be leaving Fox News with the host’s final show being last Friday, April 21st.
“Fox News Media and Tucker Carlson have agreed to part ways,” the network said in a statement, according to Forbes.
“We thank him for his service to the network as a host and prior to that as a contributor,” Fox continued in its statement. “Mr. Carlson’s last program was Friday, April 21st. Fox News Tonight will air live at 8 PM/ET starting this evening as an interim show helmed by rotating FOX News personalities until a new host is named.”
In response to the news, conservatives from around the movement responded, however, James O’Keefe, the founder and former president of Project Veritas, shared a particularly heartfelt message about his friend.
O’Keefe posted two images of Carlson and him hunting in July 2020. Along with the picture was a lengthy caption that was from a Carlson monologue earlier this month.

FOX NEWS LIKELY TO LOSE OUT ON MILLIONS OF VIEWERS AFTER TUCKER CARLSON DEPARTURE
“’You see people you know revealed as cowards, saying things you know they don’t believe because they want to keep their jobs, and you’re so disappointing in people you realize the herd instinct is maybe the strongest, to be like everybody else and to not be cast out of the group and to not to be shunned,” Carlson said in the monologue that O’Keefe reposted.
“[T]hat’s a very strong impulse in all of us from birth and it takes over unfortunately in moments like this and it’s harnessed in fact by bad people in moments like this to produce uniformity,” the post continued.
“You see people going along with this, and you lose respect for them, I’m not mad at people I’m just sad, how could you go along with this you know it’s not true but you’re saying it anyway?'” Carlson concluded.
O’Keefe likely feels much sympathy for the Fox host who regularly brought in millions of viewers a night. Like Carlson, O’Keefe was also forced to leave behind the organization that he made successful.
Given their close friendship, it is perhaps possible that the two will team up in the future. However, it is without a doubt that, like O’Keefe, Carlson will succeed in whatever comes next for his career.
