‘It Makes No Sense’: Fmr National Security Advisor Says Biden Funnels Worker Taxes To Marxists

Former National Security Advisor Robert O’Brien raised alarm bells Tuesday on Fox Business about the safety and economic implications for the American people of President Joe Biden funneling millions into a railway project in Africa.

Earlier in December, Biden pledged an additional $600 million to a multi-country rail initiative in Africa during his visit to Angola. Amid growing national security concerns, O’Brien discussed the idea of Biden’s foreign investments in an appearance on “Kudlow.”

“I think of the hardworking people of this country of truck drivers and people working in the stores and people working at a second shift at a fast food restaurant,” O’Brien told David Asman. “We’re taking their money out of their pockets with our high taxes and sending it to Angola, where there is a corrupt one party state. Where the leader of Angola is worth billions of dollars.”

The railway in question, supported by U.S. funds, is not only managed by the Angolan government but is significantly influenced by Chinese interests. Pittsburgh’s Wabtec Corp. manufactures the locomotive, however many of its wagons are imported from China. As the train exits the town, it passes signs advertising a Chinese construction firm.

“The railway that they’re using, that they’re supporting is run by the Chinese. So we’re underwriting the Chinese railway project with a corrupt communist dictatorship. And there are poor folks in Tennessee and Texas and Utah who are working a second shift at the factory,” O’Brien said.

The two men earlier discussed the Panama Canal.

“We’re taking their money to send it to these Marxists in Angola. It makes no sense, but it’s the same as a canal,” O’Brien said.

The criticisms didn’t end with fiscal mismanagement. The former advisor said he agrees with President-elect Donald Trump’s long-held view that America must reassess its global engagements.

“President Trump has been 100% right on this. He sees the geopolitics of the whole world. He sees where America is getting ripped off by either in the canal or Angola,” O’Brien added.

With Trump’s inauguration on the horizon, O’Brien called for a shift in policy.

“We need to bolster our defenses, where even our friends in Denmark aren’t doing what they need to do. And he’s calling people on it and saying, ‘This isn’t gonna happen. Come January 20, we’re putting America first,'” O’ Brien said.
