Hunter and Joe Return To Camp David For Second Weekend In A Row Amidst Growing Scandals

The Democrat incumbent President Joseph Robinette Biden, Jr. and his son Hunter have sequestered themselves behind the guarded seclusion of U.S. Naval Support Facility Thurmont, commonly known as Camp David, for the second weekend in a row, as the GOP-led House of Representatives continues to press investigations into the unfolding bribery and influence-peddling scandal that has rocked the already shambolic administration.

According to Fox News, Hunter and President Biden climbed aboard Marine One on Friday bound for the presidential retreat in the Maryland backwoods alongside the First Lady and the president's grandson Beau. The outlet reported that the Biden family will emerge Tuesday for a Teacher's Union event and a military barbecue to celebrate Independence Day, per the White House.

During the family's return from Camp David on June 26th, Biden refused to answer any questions from the press.

Despite growing pressure, President Biden has refused to put distance between himself and his son after he accepted a 'sweetheart' plea agreement to keep him out of jail for two counts of tax fraud and a felony firearm charge.

On Wednesday, NBC News reported that political advice from Biden's closest aides about limiting public appearances with Hunter has gone unheeded by the 80-year-old Democrat.

He reportedly told aides, "Hands off my family,” when they tried to impress the seriousness of the situation, a source told NBC. Sources near the president reportedly told the outlet that Biden is keeping Hunter close to him over fears that he may relapse into drug and alcohol abuse.

“He’s doing this with a father who is deeply afraid, as he should be, of what happens to many people struggling with addiction, as any father of any person who has struggled with addiction would be, about relapse.”

The source painted a sympathetic image of Biden as a panic-gripped father, saying that the fear of losing his remaining son has "consumed him."

Meanwhile, more conservative analysts question whether or not the Bidens are in a 'huddle' coordinating their defense against impeachment and legal challenges that are likely to follow as the GOP-controlled House continues to dig into the business and financial records of the First family, uncovering more evidence of corruption at every turn.

Twitter user @amuse, for example, wrote, "HUDDLE: Around the same time cocaine was found near the West Wing, Hunter and Joe departed for Camp David with their lawyers for the second week in a row. The president is not shying away from his addict son ahead of his DE court date."
