WATCH: Former Democrat Lawmaker Makes Outrageous Claim, Says Hunter Is Only Being Prosecuted 'For Loving His Son'

Former United States Senator Claire McCaskill (D-MO) attempted to claim that Republicans are only targeting President Joe Biden “for loving his son who has been addicted to drugs,” while talking with former White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki Wednesday night. 

As previously covered by the DC Enquirer, the plea deal for Hunter Biden recently fell through in court after finding that it would not include immunity for potential Foreign Agents Registration Act (FARA) violations. The deal would’ve allowed Hunter to plead guilty to two misdemeanor counts and a felony for illegal possession of a firearm and make it to where he would not be seeing any jail time. 

Psaki asked McCaskill, “What accusations and arguments do you think they’re gonna make given that this didn’t go exactly as planned today?"

“They’re gonna keep doing what they’ve been doing,” the former senator responded. “They are going to try and indict a father for loving his son who has been addicted to drugs and/or alcohol and without evidence of the father doing anything other than loving that son.”

Now, in reality, the response from McCaskill couldn’t be further from the truth. As previously reported by the DC Enquirer, the former best friend of Hunter Biden and fellow Burisma executive Devon Archer is set to testify before the House Oversight Committee on Monday where it is expected that he will reveal Joe Biden’s involvement in foreign business dealings through his son. 

According to the accusations, Joe Biden would attempt business dealings with foreign executives either in person or on speakerphone through his son. Hunter would use the business meetings as an opportunity to get his father acquainted with foreign business partners or potential investors. 

While this information isn’t officially proven, there's a clear line of information leading to the conclusion that has been reached. So the idea that Republicans are only pursuing a man “for loving his son” “without evidence” is a complete lie. McCaskill simply wanted to paint the situation as an unjust witch hunt while there’s a completely justifiable reason to be pursuing both Hunter and Joe Biden.
