Glenn Beck Weighs In On Tucker Carlson Departure, Says It Was A ‘Suicidal Move For Fox’

On Monday, conservative media personality Glenn Beck spoke out about the departure of Fox News host Tucker Carlson, saying that it was a “suicidal move” for the network.

“Tucker Carlson is out at Fox News. Now, I don’t know what that means. You know, we’re in wild speculation territory. You know, could be that he was fired because of, you know, they just paid out, you know, almost a billion dollars and they don’t want any chance of anything, but that’s suicidal. To me, this is a suicidal move for Fox,” Beck said on his Blaze TV show, as previously reported by The Hill.

Beck is referencing the blockbuster Dominion Voting Systems lawsuit, which Tucker Carlson was entangled with — along with a number of other Fox News personalities and pundits.

As the DC Enquirer previously reported, Beck is not the only voice sounding the alarm about Tucker’s departure from Fox News. Conservative voices all across the country, indeed, all across the world are baffled by this move. Moreover, it is not at all clear this was a business decision. Tucker Carlson was one of Fox News’s most profitable stars and his brand of Conservative populism – appealed to Americans across the socio-economic divide. Tucker was, in a very important way, part of the lifeblood of Fox News.

Donald Trump also weighed in, saying, “Well I’m shocked. I’m surprised. He’s a very good person and a very good man. Very talented as you know. He had very high ratings. We’re just learning about this almost as we speak. I don’t know if it was voluntary or somebody fired. Tucker’s been terrific, especially over the last year or so. He’s been terrific to me.”
