Disney Doesn't Want 'To Be Drawn Into Any Culture Wars': CEO Bob Iger Backtracks On Woke Messaging Following Massive Backlash

After continuously waging a culture war on the entirety of America by forcing liberal values into the company's media, Disney CEO Bob Iger is now claiming that he no longer wants to “be drawn into any culture wars.” Iger specifically pointed to the ongoing scuffle between him and Governor Ron DeSantis (R-FL), claiming that the rhetoric used by DeSantis about Disney was “preposterous and inaccurate.”

The entertainment giant president gave an interview to CNBC where he laid out his issues about continuing to butt heads with government officials in Florida. He said that whenever Disney spoke out against what they called the ‘Don’t Say Gay’ bill, which intentionally misrepresented the bill, “the company was within its right.” Iger argued that they were simply using the “constitutionally protected right of free speech” to talk about a topic they didn’t agree with.

Iger then made a claim that would seem like a complete 180 for the company, saying, “The last thing that I want for the company is for the company to be drawn into any culture wars.” It’d be hard to say that Disney has been in anything but a culture war for the past few years attempting to shove anything and everything LGBTQ into their product regardless of how little they belong.

The CEO also claimed that the company in no way is pushing any sort of “secret sexual content” like DeSantis’ campaign team has claimed they have, saying, “We are a preeminent entertainer in the world, and we’re proud of our track record there. The notion that Disney is in any way sexualizing children, quite frankly, is preposterous and inaccurate.”

However, the response from DeSantis’ campaign proves just how wrong the claims from Iger are from the start. They simply attached a clip of Disney executive Karey Burke talking in a 2022 company Zoom meeting on how they need to be pushing more LGBTQ representation into their content, claiming Disney doesn’t “have enough leads and narratives in which gay characters just get to be characters and not have to be about gay stories.”

So regardless of what Bob Iger claims in his interview, Disney is still dead set on waging a full culture war to push liberal ideas and values into the media and the minds of their consumers. Disney cannot make the moves they do and then turn around and say they’re some impartial third party in the debate with no stake in it. They’re clear players and the game and the American people need to ensure they don’t get played.
