On Tuesday, 45th President Donald Trump released a statement promising jail time for anyone who cheats in the 2024 elections. "ANYBODY THAT CHEATS ON THE ELECTION IS GOING TO JAIL!!!" Trump wrote in a post on his top-performing social media platform, Truth Social. This comes a month after when Trump released a promise to prosecute anyone who cheats in the election at "levels, unfortunately, never seen before in our Country." "CEASE & DESIST: I, together with many Attorneys and Legal Scholars, am watching the Sanctity of the 2024 Presidential Election very closely because I know, better than most, the rampant Cheating and Skullduggery that has taken place by the Democrats in the 2020 Presidential Election," Trump wrote in a Truth Social post and later shared the same post on X.
"It was a Disgrace to our Nation! Therefore, the 2024 Election, where Votes have just started being cast, will be under the closest professional scrutiny and, WHEN I WIN, those people that CHEATED will be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the Law, which will include long term prison sentences so that this Depravity of Justice does not happen again. We cannot let our Country further devolve into a Third World Nation, AND WE WON'T," Trump added. "Please beware that this legal exposure extends to Lawyers, Political Operatives, Donors, Illegal Voters, & Corrupt Election Officials. Those involved in unscrupulous behavior will be sought out, caught, and prosecuted at levels, unfortunately, never seen before in our Country," Trump wrote.
Last month, Trump released a new book in which he noted he's keeping an eye on Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg in order to protect our elections, writing, "We are watching him closely, and if he does anything illegal this time he will spend the rest of his life in prison." "As will others who cheat in the 2024 Presidential Election," Trump added. During a rally in Las Vegas on Sept. 13, Trump said, "We have a good lead, but we've got to be careful because remember, they cheat like hell." Trump has made clear that his victory must be "TOO BIG TO RIG" to win the White House.
