BREAKING: Trump Announces He'll Return To Site Of Assassination Attempt To Honor 'Brave Patriots'

On Friday, 45th President Donald Trump announced that he would be returning to the site of his attempted assassination in Butler, Pennsylvania, after a gunman fired eight shots at him with an AR-15 nearly two weeks ago.

"I WILL BE GOING BACK TO BUTLER, PENNSYLVANIA, FOR A BIG AND BEAUTIFUL RALLY, HONORING THE SOUL OF OUR BELOVED FIREFIGHTING HERO, COREY, AND THOSE BRAVE PATRIOTS INJURED TWO WEEKS AGO," Trump wrote on Truth Social. "WHAT A DAY IT WILL BE — FIGHT, FIGHT, FIGHT! STAY TUNED FOR DETAILS."

An assassin's bullet grazed President Trump on July 13 during a rally in Butler, Pennsylvania. The gunman, Thomas Crooks, fired eight bullets at the Republican nominee, leading to the death of one supporter, Corey Comperatore, and the serious wounding of two others. A Secret Service sniper team eliminated the assassin after the attempt on President Trump's life. However, their failure to protect the Republican nominee has resulted in multiple investigations and the resignation of Secret Service Director Kimberly Cheatle.
