BREAKING: The Results Are In On The Kentucky Governor's Race

On Tuesday, voters across the state of Kentucky cast their ballots in the 2023 governor's race, putting incumbent Gov. Andy Beshear (D-KY) against challenger Daniel Cameron (R-KY). Ultimately, Cameron was unable to defeat the incumbent, leading to four more years for the popular Democrat governor.

"I've seen enough: Andy Beshear (D) wins reelection in #KYGOV, defeating Daniel Cameron (R)," Senior Editor of the Cook Political Report Dave Wasserman wrote on X/Twitter.

As of this report, 44 percent of the vote is in, with Beshear having 53.2 percent to Cameron's 46.8 percent.

Prior polling showed Cameron, who was endorsed by 45th President Donald Trump and backed by Sen. Mitch McConnell (R-KY), falling slightly behind the Democrat governor.

It is noteworthy that over the past 75 years, Republicans have only won the governor's mansion in the Bluegrass State three times. The most recent Republican governor was Gov. Matt Bevin (R-KY) who left office in 2019.

This is a developing story and will be updated accordingly.
