BREAKING: Ron DeSantis Praises Elon Musk, Blasts Free Speech Censorship, And Attacks NAACP For Travel Advisory In Announcement Twitter Space

On Wednesday evening, Governor Ron DeSantis (R-FL) launched his official campaign on Twitter Spaces with Elon Musk. Despite various initial crashes as hundreds of thousands attempted to join, Ron DeSantis officially announced.

DeSantis was asked during the Space about the importance of free speech and during his response, the governor praised Elon Musk for his acquisition of Twitter as well as "putting his money where his mouth is."

"Claiming that Florida is unsafe is a total farce," DeSantis said about the NAACP travel advisory, adding that Florida has some of the safest cities in over 50 years. "At the end of the day, they are colluding with the mainstream media to push a narrative."

DeSantis went on to explain that there is a record number of black-owned businesses in Florida and black students perform extremely well in Florida schools. He also said that the NAACP chairman lives in Florida and many board members also vacation in the state.

Musk also maligned a recent Atlantic article that called the social media company a right-wing space to which DeSantis said, "The legacy media, these corporate journalists are in their little bubble."

The Twitter Space then moved on to the impact of the coronavirus lockdown with DeSantis saying that politicians and bureaucrats weren't "following the data." The governor then explained that there needs to be a full restructuring of the federal bureaucracy.
