Disgraced Adam Kinzinger Claims Alleged 'Patriot Front' Group Are 'Federal Officers' After Viral Clip Showing Patriots Fighting Back

New reports and video trending on Twitter early Monday showed alleged members of the 'Patriot Front,' a group purported by many to be a covert false-flag group of federal agents, being confronted by pro-Trump protestors and Proud Boys.

The alleged 'Patriot Front' group was pushed away by the Proud Boys and at least two of them were 'de-masked' by people removing their white balaclavas. Here's the punchline: former Anti-Trump "Republican" Congressman Adam Kinzinger (R-IL) turned CNN "Senior Political Commentator" retweeted a video of the altercation and characterized it as a "seemingly MAGA assault on federal officers."

As reported by contributor Nick Arama at Red State, at an America-First rally in Portland, Oregon on Sunday, a group of "Patriot Front-like characters" appeared, and "Rallygoers, including members of the Proud Boys, weren’t having it." Cursing the masked, khaki-adorned men as "racists," they charged, pushed out, and de-masked some of them in a now-viral video.

This was followed by a seeming confirmation from Kinzinger that the suspicious masked group which had appeared, uninvited, at multiple conservative and pro-life demonstrations are in fact, "federal officers."

He wrote, "These people (all blue checks) are celebrating a seemingly MAGA assault on federal officers. Now [I] don’t know what this really is, but take a gander at the comments of the “patriots” who “love” America"
  Arama remarked,

"If he doesn’t know, then it sounds like he’s feeding conspiracy theories and/or defending alleged white nationalists by claiming they’re feds. Also a very bad look for Kinzinger. Imagine thinking it’s not “patriotic” to call out white nationalists. Is that the position he’s taking?"

Whether Kinzinger actually has information regarding the group and any ties to federal law enforcement or is speaking from an uninformed position is unclear. Although Kinzinger appeared to distance himself from his comments in subsequent tweets.

He wrote to Mike Cernovich, "Oh is that what you think [I] said? Ya sure patriot front is all Feds. Let the MAGA brain worms chew slowly." And he answered former Virginia Legislator Denver Riggle, "Hey Denver [I] guess [I] just admitted they were all Feds 'on accident' in a Twitter post. My special knowledge just accidentally popped out and can’t put that genie back in the bottle! They are alllllll Feds I also used to disperse chemtrails. Uh oh don’t hit send Adam…"

Kinzinger followed this with a baffling thread depicting two "Feds" plotting to impersonate a "far right movement," and another delineating a 35-point, real-time "complete meltdown," as Twitter user Catturd described it.

The former congresseman's comments set off a firestorm of controversy across the internet with many pointing to his bizarre 'walk-back' as possible confirmation that he said something he shouldn't have while others simply point to it as one of the "biggest face plants of the year."
