The lawyer of Jacob Chansley, the ‘QAnon Shaman’ who was involved in the events of January 6th, announced that his client would be released 14 months early from prison following revelations brought by Tucker Carlson earlier this month.
“After serving eleven months in solitary prior to his sentence being imposed, and only 16 months of his sentence thereafter, it is appropriate this gentle and intelligent young man be permitted to move forward with the next stage of what undoubtedly will be a law-abiding and enriching life,” Chansley’s lawyer told The Daily Mail.
“I applaud the decision of the US Bureau of Prison in this regard,” he added.
Chansley pleaded guilty in September 2021 to civil disorder and violent entry into the Capitol leading to a 41-month prison sentence.
While it is currently unclear what prompted his release to a halfway house, given the recent revelations brought by Tucker Carlson’s investigations, it likely isn’t coincidental.
Carlson’s footage showcased Chansley being escorted throughout the Capitol building by two police officers and, at one point, passing by seven other officers while being directed to the Senate chambers.
Officers also attempted to open doors for Chansley and in return, the QAnon Shaman said a prayer for the officers on the Senate floor.
Given these revelations, it is possible that the U.S. Bureau of Prisons decided to release Chansley from prison, however, it has yet to be confirmed.
