BREAKING: New Report Reveals What's In Store For Kari Lake's Political Future

A new report from POLITICO released on Wednesday reveals that former Republican gubernatorial candidate Kari Lake will be announcing a run for Senate to challenge the current seat holder Sen. Kyrsten Sinema (I-AZ).

According to the outlet, Lake is set to announce her run for the seat next month after months of speculation about whether or not she would pursue a seat in the upper chamber of Congress.

“I am strongly considering getting in the race and will be making my final decision in the coming weeks,” an aide to Lake told The New York Times in early September.

Pinal County Sheriff Mark Lamb is currently running for the GOP nomination and former GOP Senate candidate Blake Masters appears to be sitting out the race after previously contemplating whether to make another attempt at a Senate seat.

According to The New York Times, 45th President Donald Trump weighed in on the prospects of a Masters success in the primary via a blunt phone call to the 37-year-old.

In the call, which took place earlier this month, Trump told Masters that he didn't think that he could win in a primary contest against Lake. Trump reportedly criticized Masters' stance on the 2020 election.

“If you want to get across the line, you’ve got to go stronger on that one thing,” Trump told the political newcomer. “That was the one thing, a lot of complaints about it.”

“Look at Kari — Kari’s winning with very little money,” Trump reportedly said. “And if they say, ‘How is your family?’ She says, ‘The election was rigged and stolen.’ You’ll lose if you go soft. You’re going to lose that base.”

Arizona Republicans will likely have to choose between Lamb and Lake in the upcoming primary given Trump's opposition to Masters' candidacy.

Meanwhile, incumbent Kyrsten Sinema is attempting a reelection campaign against not only an eventual Republican nominee but a Democrat challenger as well in the form of Rep. Ruben Gallego (D-AZ).

As the 2024 race heats up, the Arizona Senate race will be like none other next year. Having three prominent candidates vying for the seat will surely prove to be a far different electoral environment than what most Americans are used to.
