BREAKING: New Details Revealed in Louisville Shooting That Led to Deaths of Five Including Two Police Officers

On Monday morning, an active shooter opened fire on multiple individuals inside the Old National Bank in downtown Louisville, Kentucky.

In addition to the five who were murdered by the killer, six others were wounded, as reported by the Lexington.

According to the Louisville Metro Police Department, they received calls of an active “aggressor” at approximately 8:30 a.m. “in the 300 block E Main at the Old National Bank.”

Officers arrived at the bank within minutes and neutralized the shooter. In addition to the LMPD, the Louisville FBI, and ATF also responded to the scene.

A viral clip showed officers leaving the bank and yelling “active shooter at the bank” to passersby in order to keep civilians safe.

“LMPD has confirmed a shooting situation in downtown Louisville with multiple casualties,” wrote Gov. Andy Beshear (D-KY). “I am headed there now. Please pray for all of the families impacted and for the city of Louisville.”

The shooter was reportedly 25-year-old Connor Sturgeon who worked full-time at Old National Bank, per his LinkedIn profile.

“It is reported that the Louisville gunman was 25-year-old Connor Sturgeon,” wrote journalist Nick Sortor on Twitter. “who reportedly texted a friend before the shooting saying he was feeling suicidal and ‘would shoot up the bank.'”
