On Friday, former Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi (D-CA), who is currently 83 years old, announced that she would be running for reelection in 2024.

Pelosi is seeking reelection to her 20th term in the House of Representatives and it would be her first reelection campaign since handing over leadership of the House Democratic Caucus to Rep. Hakeem Jefferies (D-NY) last year.
Prior to this point, many in the Democratic Party were guessing as to whether or not she would run again in California's 11th District in San Fransisco. Her announcement seems to have finally cleared the air and likely prevented a contested primary for the seat.
