BREAKING: Hunter Biden's Plea Deal COLLAPSES, Deal Is Off The Table As Possible Foreign Agent Charge Considered

On Wednesday, President Biden's son, Hunter Biden, appeared before a federal judge in Delaware to enter a guilty plea after the Biden Department of Justice provided him with a sweetheart deal for tax crimes and a firearm charge last month. The deal, however, has collapsed, according to CNN.

As previously reported by the DC Enquirer, Hunter attempted to plead guilty to two misdemeanors and a felony for the illegal possession of a firearm. This deal, which would have given no jail time to the president's son, has fallen apart given investigations are ongoing. He will, however, still be pleading guilty to the misdeameanor charges for tax evasion.

"As I went back into the court room the hearing had just begun again. The judge was back on the bench and she was pressing the prosecution on this investigation and the four corners of this plea agreement," CNN reporter Kara Scannell reported. "One of the prosecutors said that the investigation was very much ongoing and she asked him 'Well what is not covered in this plea agreement?'"

The judge then asked the prosecution if a possible charge under the Foreign Agents Registration Act (FARA) would be included in the plea agreement to which the prosecution explained that it would not be.

The judge went on to explain that if a possible FARA charge were to be brought then the plea agreement, according to Hunter's attorneys, would be dead in the water.

"Biden's team said that the plea agreement, as far as they understood it, is now null and void. They were moving ahead to talk about what the next steps would be in this case," Scannell said. "So as of right now, the deal appears to be dead and off the table."

"But he has been charged with those two misdeameanor tax evasion charges but one thing we learned is that this investigation is still very much ongoing," the reporter concluded.

This is a developing story and will be updated accordingly.
