On Wednesday, President Biden's son, Hunter Biden, appeared before a federal judge in Delaware to enter a guilty plea after the Biden Department of Justice provided him with a sweetheart deal for tax crimes and a firearm charge last month.

As previously reported by the DC Enquirer, Hunter will be pleading guilty to two misdemeanors and a felony for the illegal possession of a firearm. The DOJ, however, has decided not to pursue felony charges against Biden for the gun charge. Despite the charges, Hunter will be avoiding jail time upon the judge's approval.
Hunter's appearence comes just a day after new allegations arose that seemed to allege that a member of Hunter's legal counsel lied to the federal clerk in order to obtain information from an amicus brief from the House Ways and Means Committee.
In response to this, the court handed down an order threatening Hunter's legal team with sanctions, as previously reported by the DC Enquirer.
"The Court has discussed the matter with the relevant individuals in the Clerk's Office and has been informed that the caller, Ms. Jessica Bengels, represented that she worked with Mr. Kittila and requested the amicus materials be taken down because they contained sensitive grand jury, taxpayer and social security information," the court order reads.
"It appears that the caller misrepresented her identity and who she worked for in an attempt to improperly convince the clerk's office to remove the amicus materials from the docket," the order continues.
"The Court will temporarily place the document under seal until close of business on July 26, 2023, to afford Defendant the opportunity to try to make the requisite showing. Should Defendant fail to make that showing, the document will be unsealed in its entirety," the statement concluded.
