On Monday, Hamas terrorists announced that they would begin to execute hostages on live television as the Israeli Defense Forces continued their siege of the Gaza Strip via air and land after Hamas killed over 700 Israelis over the weekend.
Abu Ubaideh, the military spokesman for Hamas' Al-Qassam Brigades, said, "From this moment on, we announced that any targeting of innocent civilians without warning will be met regretfully to say by executing one of the hostages in our custody and we will be forced to broadcast this execution."

The state of Israel declared war on Hamas over the weekend after a Hamas operation, backed by Iran, that led to the deaths of over 700 Israelis and the injury of over 2,100 more.
"It is by far the worst day in Israeli history. Never before have so many Israelis been killed by one single thing, let alone enemy activity on one day," Israeli Defense Forces spokesman Jonathan Conricus explained.
Nine Americans were also murdered during the assault and a number of U.S. citizens are unaccounted for, as reported by NPR. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu reportedly told President Joe Biden in a call on Monday that "we have to go in" to Gaza, according to Axios. "We need to restore deterrence," the prime minister told Biden, adding that it is not time to negotiate with terrorists.
Israel's Defense Minister Yoav Gallant announced on Monday a full siege of the Gaza Strip with over 100,000 IDF soldiers amassed on the border with the Hamas-ruled territory. Over 300,000 Israeli reservists have been called up in the largest mobilization effort in decades.
"We are fighting human animals and we will act accordingly," Gallant said about the terrorists.
The siege of Gaza is expected to take many weeks and it will likely lead to the death of hundreds of Hamas terrorists and Palestinian civilians as the terrorists use their countrymen as human shields. The execution of hostages will most certainly lead to the conflict escalating even further as IDF forces begin their ground assault and the Middle East once again falls into war.
