On Friday, newly released footage from Tucker Carlson's interview with former Capitol Police Chief Steven Sund published by The National Pulse revealed that federal authorities were present throughout the crowd on January 6th.
As reported by The National Pulse, Sund explained that there were likely undercover agents from the Department of Homeland Security and the FBI in the crowd that day.
Sund explained that he initially didn't know about federal authorities in the crowd and he was only notified of such by a journalist after the fact. "They had 18 operatives in the crowd. That's a lot of operatives," Sund said.
He went on to explain that normally the local police chiefs would have been briefed by the FBI about the threat of a potential large event like the planned January 6th 'Stop The Steal' protest, however, no such meetings took place beforehand.
Sund went on to explain that 18 FBI agents were a lot for the January 6th protest that was planned. The former chief also explained that there were likely 20 agents from DHS with Sund saying that there "was a fair bit of law enforcement in the crowd."
The veteran cop emphasized that he had never seen anything like that before explaining that normally you would see undercover Secret Service agents or a few FBI agents, but "nothing like that. That's a lot."
