BREAKING: DeSantis Takes A Stand—’Florida will not assist in an extradition request’

In the wake of the announcement that former President Donald Trump has been indicted by Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg, Ron DeSantis, the main potential opponent to President Trump in the 2024 Republican primary, has released a statement in support of President Trump.

“The weaponization of the legal system to advance a political agenda turns the rule of law on its head. It is un-American. The Soros-backed Manhattan District Attorney has consistently bent the law to downgrade felonies and to excuse criminal misconduct. Yet, now he is stretching the law to target a political opponent. Florida will not assist in an extradition request given the questionable circumstances at issue with this Soros-backed Manhattan prosecutor and his political agenda.”

BREAKING: PRESIDENT TRUMP REACTS FOLLOWING INDICTMENT

The move comes over increasing calls for DeSantis to exercise his authority as Governor of Flordia to prevent the extradition of President Trump to New York City. Up until now, DeSantis had remained relatively silent on the issue aside from a poor joke at his expense.

Now, DeSantis appears to be taking a stand.
