BREAKING: GOP Republican Candidates Tackle Bidenomics As Auto Worker Strike Continues

On Wednesday evening, seven Republican presidential candidates took to the stage at the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library in Simi Valley, California for the second GOP presidential debate hosted by Fox News and Univision. The debate started at 6 PM PST.

The candidates taking the stage include Gov. Ron DeSantis (R-FL), former Gov. Nikki Haley (R-SC), businessman Vivek Ramaswamy, Sen. Tim Scott (R-SC), former Vice President Mike Pence, former Gov. Chris Christie (R-NJ), and Gov. Doug Burgam (R-SD).

The first question to the candidates focused on the failing economy under President Biden and the UAW strikes. The moderators asked Sen. Scott about recent remarks he made about firing union workers. Scott explained that what the UAW unions are demanding is too much and President Biden should be on the southern border rather than the picket line.

The moderators then turned to Vivek on the UAW strike where he explained that he is sympathetic to the workers as millions of Americans suffer in Biden's economy. "I understand that hardship is not a choice, but victimhood is a choice," Ramaswamy said, adding that union workers should picket in front of the White House.

The Fox hosts then pointed out how the Big Three CEOs make hundreds of times more than the workers. Pence argued that Biden's economic policies are what is leading to the worsening economy and driving manufacturing "into the graveyard." He then promised that he would stand with Americans to have the right to not join a union.

Gov. Haley was then asked the same question to which she took the time to outline her economic plan to eliminate the gas and diesel tax, cut taxes, get rid of unfair distortions between blue and red states, and make sure small business tax cuts are permanent.

Gov. Burgum then interrupted the moderators and pointed out that the Biden administration is subsidizing electric vehicles and China is destroying the planet in order to build electric vehicles.
