BREAKING: Arizona Republican Sheriff Will Challenge Sen. Kyrsten Sinema in 2024 Senate Run

Arizona’s own conservative Sheriff of Pinal County, Mark Lamb has reportedly filed with the Federal Election Commission for a run to replace sitting independent, former-Democrat U.S. Senator Kyrsten Sinema in 2024.

FEC documentation obtained by The Post Millennial confirmed Lamb’s status as a GOP candidate Monday. As of this report, he is the first and only Republican candidate.

He officially announced his candidacy in a video posted to Twitter on Tuesday. He described his run as being motivated by the tragic loss of his son and granddaughter in a car accident, and his late son’s struggle with fentanyl addiction saying, “I know what it did to my family.”

He called for the designation of Mexican drug cartels as foreign terrorist organizations and the deployment of military force “to wipe them out just like we did to ISIS.”

Lamb had teased a possible run for over a month prior to filing the paperwork.

There have been public comments interpreted as expressions of interest from 2022 Arizona gubernatorial candidate Kari Lake and 2022 Attorney General candidate Abe Hamadeh. According to The Wall Street Journal, Hamadeh would consider a run if Lake declines.

The outlet reported that Lake-ally and former Senate candidate against Democrat Sen. Mark Kelly, Blake Masters said he “will probably run.” Though he added that “how the field shapes up is certainly a factor.”

Spokesmen for Jim Lamon, a GOP primary candidate for Senate in 2022, and Karrin Taylor Robson, a GOP primary candidate for Governor confirmed that both are looking at potential bids as well.

Should he succeed in the Republican Primary, Lamb could face off against an independent Sinema who has yet to declare her incumbent election along with a Democrat candidate in what would likely be a fiery three-way race, liable to split the Democrat vote.

RIDICULOUS: CALIFORNIA DEMOCRATS ARE TRYING TO BAN POLICE K9S — BECAUSE OF ‘RACISM’

Radical-leftist Democrat Congressman Ruben Gallego has already declared his candidacy for the party’s primary, while current Maricopa County Sheriff Paul Penzone according to NBC’s ‘Meet The Press’, and Mayor Regina Romero of Tucson as reported by Vox are considered possible opponents.
