On Sunday, the Pentagon announced that an American warship, the USS Carney, and multiple commercial vessels were attacked in the Red Sea as US ships in the region have been utilized to shoot down rockets coming from the Houthi rebels in Yemen towards Israel.
"We're aware of reports regarding attacks on the USS Carney and commercial vessels in the Red Sea and will provide information as it becomes available," the Pentagon explained about the attack. The British military also confirmed potential drone attacks in the region.
According to The Associated Press, the Pentagon did not identify the location of where the attack came from. Still, given recent events surrounding the Israeli assault on Gaza, it is likely that Yemen was the site of the attack's origination.
