Biden Fundraises On Trump Arrest, Americans Notice 'Scumbag' Move - 'None Of This Is About Justice It’s About Politics And Money'

At nearly the precise moment that Donald J. Trump, the 45th president of the United States and 2024 GOP frontrunner, was being booked, fingerprinted, and had his mugshot taken in Atlanta, Georgia, the Biden campaign was gloating and fundraising off of it via X (formerly Twitter). Despite its flippant but labored nonchalance, the American people have taken notice and many have soundly denounced the move.

One X user openly called the Democrat incumbent a "scumbag," in reply to the tweet.

At exactly 7:30 P.M. EDT, precisely when Trump's legal team said the likely Republican nominee would surrender to Fulton County authorities, a post on President Joe Biden's personal X account provided an ActBlue fundraising link showing a laughing Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris with the tagline "Let's finish the job!" The caption read,

"Apropos of nothing, I think today's a great day to give to my campaign."

The phrase "apropos of nothing," was very revealing as Kyle Becker noted, "This Biden fundraising post appear to be politically timed for the release of Donald Trump's mugshot. The mugshot was set to be released by the Fulton County jail on Friday at 4 PM. Then it was LEAKED to CNN. Coordination?"

He added, "More on why I suspect coordination: Notice the language on the Biden account tweet. It is deflecting, so therefore the poster must be aware of the political timing and how it looks. That the fundraising messages comes out just before the mugshot's release looks like campaigning on the political prosecution of a campaign rival."

#WalkAway founder Brandon Straka, who was convicted himself due to his presence at the January 6th Capitol Riot, commented, "Look at the reaction he’s getting. You’re nothing."

On Thursday, he shared his own mugshot proudly alongside Trump's.

One commenter @AlmostJingo replied to Biden, "Thank you for proving our point, none of this is about justice it’s about politics and money."

Ryann McEnany quoted the post and made the direct conclusion that the timing of this wasn't accidental, "7:30pm? The same time of Trump’s arrest? Biden is fundraising off the weaponization of justice against his leading political opponent,@realDonaldTrump."

Scott Adams of RedStateTalk opined, "#BidenCrimeFamily is still fleecing and hating the American tax payer who apparently made #QuidProJoe rich with his extortion and bribery schemes."

Another commenter @MAGAOriginalist observed, "Sure the radicals of your voters will love this, but you have an all-time low approval ratings with the rest of Americans, who are worse off w/you than w/the guy you arrested. They’re not gonna celebrate this or think this tweet is funny, they’re gonna hate your guts even more. Good luck in '24"

It remains to be seen whether or not Biden's fundraising push on the back of prosecuting his political rival will yield fruit, but so far the backlash online has been severe.
