Pope Francis Speaks Out Against Joe Biden’s Stance On Abortion During New Interview

Pope Francis reportedly took aim at President Joe Biden’s radical stance on abortion during an interview with Univision published earlier this week, saying it conflicts with Church teachings on the subject.

In a two-hour interview, Francis, though careful to say he isn’t too familiar with U.S. legal practice asked, “Is it fair to take a human life to solve a problem? Whatever it is? Is it fair to hire a hit man to eliminate a human life?”

He also referred to specific scientific research showing, that “one month after conception, the DNA is already there.” The pope then branded this stance as “non-negotiable,” according to Religion News Service.

These comments come after the U.S. Supreme Court struck down Roe v. Wade last month, returning the issue of abortion back to each individual state.

DEM SEN. JOE MANCHIN DEALS MAJOR BLOW TO BIDEN’S CLIMATE CHANGE AGENDA

When the subject of conservative American bishops denying Communion to prominent Democrats based on their political views came up — President Joe Biden and House Speaker Nancy Pelosi are on that list — Francis simply said, “I leave it to [President Biden’s] conscience and that he speaks to his bishop, his pastor, his parish priest about that incoherencia (inconsistency).”

The pope also took time to express sadness over recent acts of violence by American youth, and lamented that “young people are so dissatisfied that they feel fulfilled only by destroying.”

Rumors of Francis stepping down have begun to circulate this year. If he were to follow thorough, it would make him only the second pontiff to do so in 600 years — the other being Pope Emeritus Benedict XVI.

Francis has denied such whispers, however, and claimed he will be remaining in Rome for the time being.
