On Thursday, a former Chick-Fil-A employee was honored at a Minor League Baseball game for his heroic actions in saving a woman from a potential hijacking earlier this month.
Mykel Gordon threw out the first pitch for the Pensacola Blue Wahoos in the game against the Montgomery Biscuits, according to Fox News.
Gordon was working inside his local Chick-Fil-A in Fort Walton Beach, Florida when he heard a woman screaming outside.
A woman was pulling her infant out of the car when a man threatened her with a stick and demanded that she hand over her car keys. When she refused, the man took the keys and entered the vehicle.

Gordan ran over to help the woman leading to a physical altercation with the suspect, William Branch, punching the fearless Chick-Fil-A employee in the face, according to Channel 7 News.
“A young employee outside a Fort Walton Beach area restaurant rushed to help a screaming woman holding a baby this afternoon after a man grabbed her keys and tried to take her car,” the Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office released in a statement.
The incident, which was captured on security video, was eventually ended once deputies from the Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office arrived on the scene and arrested the assailant. Following the incident, it was discovered that the criminal has been involved in another similar incident before.
“The Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office has charged 43-year old William Branch of DeFuniak Springs with carjacking with a weapon and battery.”
