AOC Roasted For HORRENDOUS Affirmative Action Take - 'Do You Know How The Court System Works?'

On Thursday, Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) was completely blasted on Twitter after she put forth her opinion on the recent Supreme Court decision that slammed down affirmative action. The congresswoman claimed the court was not serious about their “ludicrous ‘colorblindness’ claims” or else they would have also gotten rid of legacy admissions in the decision. 

In the landmark decision of Students for Fair Admissions, Inc. v. President and Fellows of Harvard College, the Supreme Court made a 6-3 decision against the longtime practice of affirmative action, per the DC Enquirer. It was decided that considering race in university admissions was unconstitutional under the Fourteenth Amendment of the United States Constitution. 

Considering all the liberal judges on the court dissented against the decision, it was only a matter of time before the liberal hoard whined about the decision on social media. AOC was one of those leftists and released a tweet that seemed quite unaware of how the judicial process even worked.

“If SCOTUS was serious about their ludicrous “colorblindness” claims, they would have abolished legacy admissions, aka affirmative action for the privileged,” she tweeted. “70% of Harvard’s legacy applicants are white. SCOTUS didn’t touch that - which would have impacted them and their patrons.”

The tweet seemed extremely oblivious to the process of the Supreme Court as well as its jurisdiction. The court could only rule on whether legacy admissions were a violation of the Constitution, which would be an extremely hard case to make. 

If anyone were to be able to take action on legacy admissions, it would be her branch of the United States government. As per usual, a member of Congress doesn’t seem interested in actually bringing any change, instead being content with criticizing others for actually doing so. 

Of course, with such a horrendous take, other users could help but weigh in on her words.

“AOC just said since '70% of Harvard’s legacy applicants are white' Affirmative Action shouldn’t have been struck down,” one user wrote. “According to the US Census Bureau, 75% of the population is white. Does Sandy Cortez understand math?”

“That wasn’t part of the case in front of them. Do you know how the court system works? This is almost as bad as when Nancy Pelosi said Trump would have his chance to prove his innocence. That isn’t how any of this works,” another user wrote, referencing Pelosi’s recent tweets related to the Trump New York City indictment.

Liberals seem to be completely unaware of how both math and the world around them work. Whenever a system is designed to favor one race over another, it is inherently racist, something they agree with. But bizarrely to them, if it’s favoring minorities over whites that is somehow not racist.
